The region offers a large range of sporting and cultural activities and also hides many unmissable curiosities.

The proximity to the A75 motorway means you may reach the magnificent Salagou lakeside, the Larzac plateau or the mediterrenean beaches in a matter of minutes.

From Lodève, you can visit extraordinary, wild and beautiful sites whose diversity will astound you such as: the Larzac, the natural circus of Navacelles and Mourèze, the Salagou valley, the circus of 'the end of the world'... numerous marked trails allow you to discover these perfectly preserved natural sites.
You may visit the caves of Labeil and Clamouse, the abbey of Gellone at Saint-Guihem le Désert, the prieuré de Grandmont, the Royal Manufacture of Villeneuvette, the Templar town of la Couvertoirade, the cathedrale of Maguelone by the sea...

During the summer you can enjoy the coolness of the rivers, the canyons of the Vis and the Herault by the Devil's bridge or the Lergue upstream from the gite.
You can swim or fish in the warm waters of the Salagou lake. On the lakeside you can mountainbike, horseride or just simply enjoy a picnic. There are two watersport bases where you can rent sailboats, windsurf, kitesurf and canoes.

The towns of Sète, Agde, Pézenas, Béziers et Montpellier are around half an hour by motorway from Lodève, and offer a multitude of events and festivals throughout the year.

Finally, as you visit you will discover the quaint, picturesque villages of the region: Octon, Salasc, le Caylar, Lunas... In the numerous winecellars you can taste the local produce.
